Pandurang Kadam Joins BJP, Appointed Mathadi Union Nigdi Chief
- BJP Strengthens Presence Among Mathadi Workers in Pimpri-Chinchwad
Pimpri : Pandurang Baburao Kadam was appointed as the Transport Nagar Nigdi Division Chief of the Maharashtra State Mathadi Transport Security Guard and General Workers Union during a special programme held at Transport Nagar, Nigdi. The appointment letter was handed over to him by dignitaries present at the event.
Kadam, who was earlier serving as the Deputy Division Chief of the Rupinagar-Talwade division of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray), resigned from his post and party membership. Expressing faith in the leadership of Bhosari MLA Mahesh Landge, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) along with his supporters.
Currently serving as the Chairman of Matoshree Mathadi Workers Cooperative Credit Society Ltd., Nigdi, Kadam has been actively working in the fields of labour welfare, cooperative movement, and social service. His BJP entry and new responsibility in the Mathadi workers’ organization have created enthusiasm among workers in the area.
MLA Mahesh Landge welcomed Pandurang Kadam into the BJP and extended his best wishes for his future social and political journey. He expressed confidence that the organization’s role in addressing workers’ issues would become stronger.
The programme was attended by Mathadi Union President Sanjay Nikam, Pune District President Azam Khan, Pune District Vice President Dnyaneshwar Landge, former corporator S. K. Bhalekar, corporator Pravin Bhalekar, Shivani Narale, Sheetal Varnekar, Sudev Narale, and other dignitaries.
Several workers, labour representatives, and citizens including Ashok Kale, Indas Patil, Amol Madne, Shrikant More, Babasaheb Pote, Mauli Pachpute, Dada Kadam, Gorakhnath Dubale, Nitin Kadam, Kailas Todkar, and Sachin Narwade were also present.
During the event, Pandurang Kadam was felicitated with a shawl, coconut, and bouquet. The programme concluded in an enthusiastic atmosphere with large participation from Mathadi workers and supporters.
