Pimpri-Chinchwad to Get Major Power Infrastructure Boost : MLA Shankar Jagtap

Pimpri : Chinchwad MLA Shankar Jagtap has unveiled a comprehensive plan to strengthen the power infrastructure in Pimpri-Chinchwad with the aim of making the city load-shedding free.

During a review meeting at MSEDCL’s Prakash Bhavan office, Jagtap directed officials to begin work on the Pashan–Sangvi transmission line within six months, expedite the proposed 220/22 kV, 300 MVA Gahunje substation, and prepare a long-term power infrastructure plan considering the city’s growth until 2051.

A proposal was also discussed to create a new electricity circle for Pimpri-Chinchwad, Rajgurunagar and Lonavala, which is expected to improve administrative efficiency and ensure faster resolution of consumer complaints.

Jagtap also instructed officials to establish constituency-wise power monitoring committees, strengthen power infrastructure in rapidly developing areas such as Ravet, Punawale and Tathawade, improve flood resilience of electrical installations, and conduct monthly reviews to ensure timely completion of projects.

“Expanding power infrastructure and ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply is our top priority. We are committed to making Pimpri-Chinchwad completely load-shedding free through time-bound planning and coordinated efforts,” Jagtap said.
