17th Staffer Under Scanner in PCMC Auditorium Financial Irregularities ?

Complaints Mount Against Theatre Manager at Ramkrishna More Auditorium

Pimpri : Fresh controversy has surfaced at the Prof. Ramkrishna More Auditorium in Chinchwad, with the theatre manager Vikas Vetal allegedly coming under scrutiny over complaints of misconduct and financial irregularities.

Sources said that after action was initiated against 16 employees in connection with alleged financial mismanagement related to auditorium bookings and deposits, another staff member may now come under the radar.

According to a complaint, Arun Chabukswar, founder of New City Pride English Medium School in Rahatani, had booked the auditorium online for a school annual gathering and paid the required rent and deposit as per rules. The event date had to be changed due to a government mourning announcement.

On the day of the programme, the organisers required a digital LED screen behind the stage. However, the manager allegedly refused permission to install an external screen and insisted that the screen must be arranged through the auditorium management. It is alleged that an excessive amount was demanded for the arrangement and additional money was sought for the next day’s booking as well.

The complainant also alleged that the manager used aggressive language and created a dispute with the event organisers. Frustrated by the situation, Chabukswar reportedly submitted a complaint to the Commissioner of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation demanding action against the manager.

The issue has gained attention after financial irregularities related to auditorium rent and deposit collections were recently exposed during discussions in the Maharashtra Legislature. With disciplinary action already looming over an administrative officer and 15 employees, the latest complaint has raised further questions about the functioning of the auditorium management.

All eyes are now on the decision of the PCMC Commissioner regarding the allegations.
