IIM Nagpur’s Extended Campus to Come Up in Moshi; State Approves Land Allocation
Pune : There is encouraging news for students in Pimpri-Chinchwad and surrounding areas as the process of establishing an Indian Institute of Management (IIM) campus in the city has gained significant momentum.
The state cabinet has approved the proposal to provide government land in Moshi free of cost for setting up the IIM campus.
BJP MLA Mahesh Landge had been continuously pursuing the proposal with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to establish an extended campus of IIM Nagpur in Moshi. The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, District Collector’s Office and Revenue Department had earlier shown a positive response towards the project.
Moshi was selected considering its excellent connectivity, proximity to Pune-Mumbai and its location near major industrial and IT hubs.
The arrival of a national-level institution like IIM is expected to provide a major boost to the educational and industrial growth of Pimpri-Chinchwad and open new opportunities for students and professionals.
