Abhishek Barne Directs Officials to Resolve Civic Issues on Priority

• Ward Committee meeting held at Thergaon Regional Office
• Corporators briefed on council procedures; development works and public grievances reviewed

Pimpri : The first Ward Committee meeting following the election of the committee chairperson was held on Thursday at the ‘G’ (Purandar) Regional Office in Thergaon under the chairmanship of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Standing Committee Chairman Abhishek Barne. The meeting reviewed ongoing and proposed development works across the ward, while civic issues affecting residents were discussed in detail.

Chairing the meeting, Barne directed municipal officials to take immediate action on pending civic problems and ensure timely resolution of public grievances. He stressed that citizens should receive quality civic services without delay and instructed officials to complete development projects within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining high standards of quality.

As it was the first meeting after the constitution of the Ward Committee, Barne briefed all members on the functioning of the committee, council procedures and administrative processes. The meeting also reviewed the status of roads, water supply, sanitation, drainage, public amenities and other infrastructure projects in the ward.

On the occasion, newly appointed Ward Committee Chairperson Manisha Pawar was felicitated with a bouquet. Congratulating her on her new responsibility, Barne called upon elected representatives and officials to work in close coordination for the overall development of the ward.

He emphasised that the focus should remain on addressing citizens’ concerns rather than political affiliations. “This is an opportunity to provide better civic facilities to the people. Through constructive discussions and coordinated efforts, the Ward Committee can function more effectively and accelerate development works,” he said.

Barne reiterated that the PCMC is committed to delivering better civic amenities and speeding up development projects in line with citizens’ expectations. Corporators, municipal officials and representatives from various departments attended the meeting.
