Aadhaar Enrolment and Update CampReceives Overwhelming Response

PIMPRI : A special Aadhaar enrolment and update camp organised by Ramamangal Social Foundation on the occasion of Guru Purnima received an enthusiastic response from citizens in Chinchwad on Saturday.

The social initiative was organised under the guidance of Santosh Ramakant Saundankar, Shiv Sena district organiser and founder-president of Ramamangal Social Foundation.

The camp was held from 10 am to 5 pm at Santosh Saundankar’s public relations office at Gurukrupa Housing Society in Ruston Colony, Chinchwad. A large number of residents from the surrounding areas attended the camp throughout the day and availed themselves of various Aadhaar-related services.

The camp provided facilities including new Aadhaar enrolment, biometric updates, correction of name and address, change of name after marriage, date-of-birth correction and recovery of lost Aadhaar cards. Home enrolment services were also made available for senior citizens and needy residents.

Speaking on the occasion, Santosh Saundankar said citizens often have to make repeated visits to government offices for Aadhaar-related work, causing considerable inconvenience.

“Keeping these difficulties in mind, we have tried to make all the necessary facilities available locally so that citizens do not have to make unnecessary trips to government offices. The positive response from residents shows that such initiatives are genuinely useful. Ramamangal Social Foundation will continue to organise similar social, healthcare and administrative initiatives for the benefit of citizens,” Saundankar said.

Kailas Bhandari, Vijaykumar Patil, Anand Dhage, Bappu Waghmare, Gulab Mulani, Firoz Khan, Santosh Morajkar, Ganesh Gade, Omprasad Pardeshi, Ashwin Mayanle, Kartik Sutar and Swapnil Gade were present during the camp. The camp was successfully conducted with the efforts of Ramamangal Social Foundation secretary Sumit Kamble, vice-president Ganesh Ogale, member Subhash Malusare, along with other activists and volunteers.

The organisers expressed satisfaction over the enthusiastic participation of citizens and said similar public-oriented initiatives would be continued in the future.
