Nana Kate Seeks New Fire Station in Pimpri-Chinchwad’s D Ward
– Former opposition leader and corporator demands more fire tenders and manpower
Pimpri : Former opposition leader and corporator Vitthal alias Nana Kate has demanded the urgent development of a new fire station under the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s D Regional Office, citing the city’s rapid urban expansion, rising population and growing number of high-rise buildings and housing complexes.
Kate has urged the civic administration to immediately transfer the land required for the proposed fire station and expedite the administrative and technical procedures so that the facility can be made operational at the earliest.
He has also demanded an increase in the number of fire tenders at the existing D Regional Office fire station. He pointed out that when vehicles are deployed to other emergency locations, the local station could face a shortage of fire tenders.
Along with vehicles, Kate has sought an increase in the number of fire officers, firefighters and other support staff to ensure an effective emergency response.
He has urged the civic administration to complete the proposed fire station within a fixed timeframe and ensure adequate permanent fire-fighting resources in the area, stressing that the measures are directly linked to the safety of citizens and protection of life and property.
