Bawankule Holds Candid Conversation with Novel Students in Chinchwad
- Students share ideas on digital government services and administrative reforms
Pimpri : Maharashtra Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule interacted with students at Novel International School in Chinchwad during his Pune visit, responding to questions on government services and digital reforms.
The interaction was organised by Novel Group of Institutes founder and MLA Amit Gorkhe to give students an opportunity to understand government and administrative systems and directly raise their queries with the minister.
Students asked Bawankule about reducing the time required to obtain birth certificates, domicile and nationality certificates. Another student suggested making ration cards available digitally on mobile phones.
Appreciating the students’ questions and suggestions, Bawankule said the government is expanding the use of data centres and digital systems through its IT infrastructure. He said work is already underway on making ration card services available in digital form, with the aim of making government services easier and more accessible to citizens.
The minister also interacted with students on various issues related to the Revenue Department and appreciated their interest in technology and administrative reforms.
MLA Vikrant Patil, Deputy Mayor Sharmila Babar, former Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha state president Anup More, Sameer Jeurkar and Dr Priya Gorkhe, along with school officials, teachers and students, attended the programme.
