Demand for Expulsion of Mangala Kadam from NCP – Ravindra Owhal
Pimpri : Ravindra Owhal, President of the Slum Cell of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in Pimpri-Chinchwad, has demanded the expulsion of former Mayor Mangala Kadam from the party.
In a letter addressed to NCP National President and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar, Owhal urged the party leadership to take immediate disciplinary action against Kadam.
According to Owhal, a purported video of Mangala Kadam went viral on social media on Monday, in which she allegedly made indirect admissions about working against the interests of the Nationalist Congress Party in the past.
The letter also stated that during the recent Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation elections, Kadam openly campaigned after securing a BJP candidature for her son. Owhal claimed that this amounted to anti-party activity and demanded that the party leadership take serious note of the matter and expel her from the NCP immediately.
The letter has also been signed by party office-bearers including Treasurer Deepak Sakore, Seva Dal City President Dnyaneshwar More, Social Justice Department President Sanjay Avasarmal, Graduate Cell President Pradeep Auti and Transport Cell President Vinod Varkhede.
Ravindra Owhal has released the letter to the media, intensifying political discussions within NCP circles in Pimpri-Chinchwad.
