Citizens Urged to Participate in Pimpri-Chinchwad’s Development

Pimpri : Citizens should take advantage of eligible government schemes and actively participate in the city’s development and cultural activities, said Special Officer Kiran Gaikwad of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC).

He was speaking at a ‘Loksamvad’ programme organised by the District Information Office at Prof. Ramkrishna More Auditorium as part of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Festival 2026. Gaikwad said information about various Central and state government schemes, as well as PCMC initiatives for women, youth, education and disadvantaged citizens, is available through official websites. Citizens should access this information and help spread it among eligible beneficiaries.

He also urged residents to participate in cultural programmes, including the upcoming international film festival, saying citizens’ involvement is important for the city’s cultural development. Gaikwad appealed to residents to use the ‘Sarathi’ app to register civic complaints and enable the municipal administration to take necessary action. District Information Officer Ganesh Phunde delivered the introductory remarks. A large number of women, youth and citizens attended the programme.
