Toll-free helpline 18002101177 available Monday to Saturday, from 9 am to 6.30 pm

PUNE : The Maharashtra Government’s Balasaheb Thackeray Agriculture Business and Rural Transformation (SMART) Project has launched an information and grievance redressal call centre for farmers, traders and other stakeholders associated with the agricultural marketing sector.

The initiative has been launched by the Directorate of Agricultural Marketing, Maharashtra, to provide information, guidance and assistance regarding agricultural marketing activities. Sanjay Kadam, Director of Agricultural Marketing and Head of SMART Project Implementation, has appealed to stakeholders to make use of the facility.

The call centre can be accessed through the toll-free number 18002101177 or the contact number 020-65045000. The service will be available free of cost from Monday to Saturday, between 9 am and 6.30 pm.

Through this facility, farmers and traders can obtain information about the functioning of Agricultural Produce Market Committees (APMCs) and private markets across Maharashtra. They can also seek guidance on reforms in market regulation, new licence procedures, and the rules and conditions governing the agricultural marketing system.

The call centre will also serve as a platform for registering complaints related to the functioning of agricultural market committees and addressing difficulties faced by farmers, traders and other stakeholders.

Kadam said the facility would help stakeholders access relevant information and raise their concerns through a dedicated support mechanism.
