Illegal Constructions Alleged in Bhugaon Under PMRDA Limits
Pimpri : Cases of alleged illegal constructions within the jurisdiction of the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) have once again come to light. A fresh complaint has been submitted regarding unauthorised construction activity and road excavation at Bhugaon in Mulshi taluka.
According to a representation submitted to the Metropolitan Commissioner by complainant Mahesh Vilas Taru, unauthorised structures have reportedly been erected in the area falling under Survey No. 44/5 at Bhugaon.
As per the complaint, Abhijit Malusurve allegedly constructed sheds, shops and commercial structures near the Forest Trails, Paranjape Gate area without obtaining any official permission from the concerned authorities. It has also been alleged that a main road under PMRDA limits was dug up and an unauthorised nursery was developed at the site.
The complainant has claimed that public property is being damaged and that there is an attempt to encroach upon the land. A demand has been made for immediate inspection of the site by the Commissioner and prompt demolition of the illegal structures. Strict action has also been sought against the nursery developed after digging the road.
The issue has reportedly created resentment among local residents, with questions being raised over the functioning of the administration. Citizens have expressed anger over repeated complaints allegedly not resulting in concrete action.
All eyes are now on whether PMRDA authorities will initiate swift action in the matter or continue to ignore the complaints.
Official Quote:
“Information regarding the concerned matter at Bhugaon has been sought. Permission files of nearby construction projects will also be examined. If any encroachment on the road is found, appropriate action will be taken as per rules.”
