Five Unique Ganeshotsav Stories Featured on Bappa.org

• One of the five stories comes from Pune, highlighting tradition, sustainability and cultural roots

Pune : Five unique Ganeshotsav stories have been selected for feature on Bappa.org, Maharashtra’s digital cultural archive, under the Cultural Affairs Department’s ‘Gharo-Ghari Bappa’ initiative.

The selected stories include a family celebrating Ganeshotsav for the first time at its new home in Pune, the traditional Gauri-Ganpati festival in Guhagar, a handmade clay idol created at home, Indian students celebrating Ganeshotsav in Vietnam, and an eco-friendly initiative that has helped nurture more than 30 trees using soil from Ganesh idol immersion.

The Pune story highlights the family of Sanjay Mangalaram, which welcomed Lord Ganesha into its new home for the first time, with two young daughters leading the daily prayers and aarti.

The initiative aims to digitally preserve Ganeshotsav traditions from Maharashtra and Indian communities abroad. Citizens, housing societies, public Ganesh mandals and temple trusts can submit photographs and details of their celebrations on Bappa.org.

Selected entries are being featured daily through government platforms.
