Bhimashankar Development Plan to Get Speedy Implementation
- Village rehabilitation, devotee facilities and environmental protection to be prioritised
PUNE : Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi directed officials to speed up the implementation of the development plan for Bhimashankar Temple and its surrounding area.
The plan includes planned rehabilitation of local residents, with plots and 1-BHK, 2-BHK and 3-BHK houses, along with facilities such as a school, health centre, anganwadi, parking, water supply, sanitation and waste management.
A corridor connecting the village with the temple, along with facilities for devotees, will also be developed. Cleaning and fencing of the river and water tank areas and safe bathing arrangements for devotees are also proposed.
The administration aims to accelerate the work from October 2026 and complete the project by June 2027. Dudi directed officials to incorporate suggestions from local residents and ensure timely completion of the works.
