PCMC Issues Heatwave Advisory; Health System on High Alert
Pimpri : With temperatures rising steadily across the city, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has urged citizens to remain cautious as the risk of heatstroke increases. The civic body’s medical department has appealed to residents to take necessary precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses during the ongoing summer season.
Heatstroke is a serious health condition that occurs when the body temperature rises excessively. Symptoms may include dizziness, weakness, nausea, vomiting, severe headache, confusion, and even unconsciousness. Citizens experiencing such symptoms are advised to immediately move to a shaded area, seek first aid care, and contact the nearest municipal hospital without delay.
The PCMC administration has ensured that all civic hospitals are well-equipped with the necessary medical facilities to handle heatstroke cases. Emergency response systems have been kept ready to provide timely treatment to affected patients. Authorities have emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and prompt medical attention.
