823 Citizens Benefit from Free Health Camp in Chinchwad

MLC Amit Gorkhe organises mega health camp on occasion of mother Anuradha Gorkhe’s birthday

Pimpri : More than 823 citizens benefited from free medical check-ups and specialist healthcare services at a mega health camp organised at Shri Siddhivinayak Temple in Sambhajinagar, Chinchwad, on the occasion of corporator Anuradha Gorkhe’s birthday.

The camp was organised under the leadership of MLC Amit Gorkhe by the Amit Gorkhe Youth Foundation and Constitution Sanskar Parishad, in association with Dr D Y Patil Hospital and Research Centre, Pimpri.

The camp was inaugurated by MLA Umatatai Khapre. Citizens were provided free consultations, medical examinations and guidance from specialist doctors.

General health check-ups included screening for blood pressure, diabetes, fever, viral infections and other common ailments. Specialist services included eye and orthopaedic examinations, cataract screening, ENT check-ups, gynaecological consultations, pregnancy-related check-ups, paediatric consultations and dermatology services. ECG examinations were also made available to citizens wherever advised by doctors.

An Ayushman Bharat card registration facility was also set up at the venue. Eligible citizens were assisted with registration and provided guidance on availing healthcare and treatment facilities under the scheme.

Speaking on the occasion, Anuradha Gorkhe said the health camp was organised with the objective of making quality healthcare services easily accessible and free of cost to citizens. She said the initiative was an effort to mark her birthday through social service and provide timely medical diagnosis and specialist guidance to people in need.

Medical experts, doctors, healthcare workers, volunteers, office-bearers and workers of Savarkar Mitra Mandal, and members of the Amit Gorkhe Youth Foundation contributed to the successful organisation of the camp.
