‘LokSamvad 2026’ to Promote Government Schemes Through Ganesh Mandals

  • Awareness campaign to run across Maharashtra from September 16 to 24

PUNE : The Maharashtra Information and Public Relations Department will conduct ‘LokSamvad 2026’, a special public awareness campaign through Ganesh mandals across the state from September 16 to 24.

The initiative aims to directly inform citizens about various government schemes, welfare programmes and policy decis`ions, while also providing guidance to eligible beneficiaries on accessing these schemes.

Officials from departments including agriculture, health, women and child development, education, social justice, cooperation, skill development, sports and youth welfare will interact with citizens at prominent Ganesh mandals.

Information on schemes related to farmer assistance, crop insurance, women’s self-help groups, education, scholarships, healthcare, skill development, employment and self-employment will be provided. Awareness will also be created about MahaDBT, cyber security, Right to Information and Aaple Sarkar.

Where possible, programmes will be livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube to reach a wider audience. Ganesh mandals interested in participating have been asked to contact the District Information Office, Pune.
