PMRDA Cracks Down on Illegal Hoardings in Haveli, Bhor; Two Massive Structures Demolished

Pune : The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has intensified its action against illegal hoardings within its jurisdiction, carrying out a major demolition drive in Haveli and Bhor talukas over the past two days.

As part of the campaign, two giant unauthorized hoardings were brought down, sending a strong warning to violators. Officials confirmed that the crackdown will continue in the coming days.

The action comes amid rising safety concerns over illegal structures. Acting on the directives of Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Abhijit Chaudhari and under the guidance of Additional Commissioner K. Manjulakshmi, the anti-encroachment team undertook the operation.

On Tuesday, a hoarding installed illegally by “Ishwari Ads” at Khed Shivapur (West) in Haveli taluka (Survey No. 272) was removed. Earlier on Monday, another large hoarding belonging to “B.K. Naik and Sons” at Kamathadi in Bhor taluka (Survey No. 751) was dismantled.

During the drive, iron frameworks and related materials were seized by the authorities.

The operation was led by Deputy Commissioner (Encroachment) Himmat Kharade, along with Tehsildars Asha Holkar and Ravindra Ranjane, and Assistant Town Planner Mr. Savkare.

PMRDA officials have made it clear that strict action will continue against all unauthorized hoardings erected without official permission.
