111 Ganesh Mandals Get Permission in Pimpri-Chinchwad; 104 Immersion Points Arranged
– PCMC completes licensing process; citizens urged to opt for safe and eco-friendly immersion
PIMPRI : The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has completed the process of granting permissions to Ganesh mandals in the city ahead of Ganeshotsav 2026. So far, a total of 111 Ganesh mandals have been granted permission through various regional offices.
The civic administration has also made arrangements at 104 locations across the city for Ganesh idol immersion. The arrangements have been planned to ensure that devotees can carry out immersion safely and in an environmentally friendly manner during the festival.
111 Ganesh Mandals Granted Permission
The number of Ganesh mandals granted permission through the respective regional offices is as follows : B Regional Office – 23, C – 2, D – 16, E – 15, F – 17, G – 20, H – 15, J – 2 and L – 1, taking the total to 111.
104 Immersion Points Across City
PCMC has arranged 104 immersion points through its regional offices. These include A Regional Office – 10, B – 14, C – 12, D – 12, E – 13, F – 11, G – 6, H – 12, J – 9 and L – 5.
The civic administration has made necessary preparations to ensure that citizens do not face inconvenience during the festival and that Ganesh idols can be immersed safely and in an eco-friendly manner.
PCMC has appealed to citizens to use the designated immersion facilities provided by the civic body and cooperate with the administration.
Mayor Ravi Landge said Ganeshotsav is a festival of faith and enthusiasm for citizens and that the civic administration has made necessary arrangements to ensure that it is celebrated in a joyful, disciplined and safe environment. “The permission process for Ganesh mandals has been completed and extensive arrangements have also been made for idol immersion. Citizens should immerse Ganesh idols in an eco-friendly manner and cooperate with the municipal administration,” Landge said.
PCMC Commissioner Dr Vijay Suryawanshi said necessary preparations have been made through all regional offices for the convenience of citizens. “Along with granting permissions to Ganesh mandals, arrangements have been made at 104 locations for idol immersion. Necessary facilities are being provided at immersion points, along with measures to prevent inconvenience to citizens. Citizens should follow the administration’s instructions and celebrate Ganeshotsav safely and in an environmentally friendly manner,” Suryawanshi said.
