Pimpri : A total of 84 students from Indira University in Tathawade, Pimpri-Chinchwad, who were stranded in Dubai due to the conflict involving Israel, Iran and the United States, have safely returned to India by a special chartered flight.

The students had travelled to Dubai for educational purposes along with ten teachers. After the tensions escalated on February 28, regular flight services between India and Dubai were suspended, leaving the students stranded and their families worried.

Tarita Shankar continuously followed up with authorities, contacting the Chief Minister, Prime Minister and central ministries. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde intervened and assured the students of safe return during a video call.

Within 24 hours, a chartered flight was arranged after coordinating with the External Affairs Ministry, Home Ministry, Maharashtra government and UAE authorities. The students landed safely at Mumbai airport, bringing immense relief to their families after nearly 48 hours of anxiety.
