‘Swar Ninad’ Music Evening Draws Music Lovers in Pimple Saudagar
- Unnati Social Foundation hosts soulful evening of classical, devotional and film music
PIMPRI : Music lovers in Pimple Saudagar enjoyed an evening of classical, devotional and film music as the Unnati Social Foundation hosted its ‘Swar Ninad’ music concert on Sunday at the Unnati premises.
The programme was organised with the aim of strengthening the cultural activities of the area alongside the foundation’s social and community initiatives. Renowned lyricist, composer and singer Bharti Nyayadhish, along with her students, presented a range of musical performances. The concert opened with the Ganesh devotional song ‘Aale Re Ganpati Aaj Dari Re’, followed by classical compositions based on Hindustani ragas including Yaman, Bhup, Bihag, Kafi and Bhimpalasi.
The evening later moved to light music and popular film songs, drawing an enthusiastic response from the audience. Dr. Kundatai Bhise, a member of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s Law Committee and corporator from the area, performed Sant Tukaram Maharaj’s composition ‘Omkar Pradhan Roop Ganeshache’. Her performance received warm appreciation from the audience.
Young performers Ira, Shaurvi, Raghavi, Dhwani, Atharva, Asmi, Ojaswi, Payodhi, Saumya, Gargi and Shreeyan, along with senior women students Sulabha Mane, Prabha Baswante, Rekha Devpurkar, Suchita Sidnale and Sunita Sawale, presented various songs.
Chaitanya Dange accompanied the performances on tabla, while Bharti Nyayadhish provided support on harmonium. Bhamini Mahale compered the programme. The concert concluded with Bharti Nyayadhish’s rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’. All participating artistes were felicitated by Unnati Social Foundation founder Sanjay Bhise, Dr Kundatai Bhise, Pimpri-Chinchwad Cultural Foundation president Vijay Bhise and entrepreneur Dhananjay Bhise.
