UBT’s New Team Takes Shape; List Submitted to Sanjay Raut

• Chetan Pawar focuses on active grassroots workers as party awaits final approval

Pimpri : The Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) is set to announce its new Pimpri-Chinchwad city executive soon, with city chief Chetan Pawar submitting a list of active and capable party workers to party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut in Mumbai on Monday.

The move has increased anticipation among party office-bearers, workers and aspirants awaiting the formal announcement of the new city executive. Pawar had earlier held interviews with interested workers from the Pimpri, Chinchwad and Bhosari Assembly constituencies in June as part of efforts to strengthen the party organisation.

The selection process considered the organisational capabilities of workers, their participation in party activities, social work and involvement in party programmes.

Pawar said the focus was on giving opportunities to workers who are actively involved at the grassroots level and have the ability to strengthen the party organisation. He said meetings with workers were also held across different wards during Ganeshotsav to understand the local organisational situation and participation of workers.

The new executive is expected to give representation to active workers from different wards. The final list will be announced after approval from the party’s senior leadership.
