Residents Raise Power Cut Issue in Ravet and Kiwale

Pimpri : Residents of Ravet and Kiwale have approached Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) over repeated electricity disruptions and voltage fluctuations in the area.

A delegation of residents, along with local corporator Aishwarya Taras, met MSEDCL officials on Wednesday and demanded immediate action to improve power supply in the fast-growing suburbs.

Residents said frequent outages have increased sharply in recent weeks, with some claiming there are at least four power cuts daily. They added that the situation has become difficult due to rising summer temperatures.

Locals also raised concerns over erratic voltage, saying fluctuations are damaging household appliances and causing inconvenience.

In a written complaint, Taras highlighted staff shortages at substations, claiming it was delaying fault repairs and complaint handling. She warned that residents may intensify protests if the issue continues.

MSEDCL officials denied any scheduled load-shedding and said outages were fault-related. Assistant Engineer Ratnadeep Kale said steps such as back-feeding are being used to restore supply quickly, while increased summer demand has also put pressure on the system.
