Foundation Stone Laid for Mata Ramai Memorial in Pimpri

Pimpri : Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale said Mata Ramai Bhimrao Ambedkar was a symbol of sacrifice, struggle and dedication who strongly supported Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in his mission for social justice and human liberation.

He was speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Mata Ramai Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial to be developed by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation near the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial (Bhimsrushti), Pimpri.

Athawale said the memorial would not be just a structure, but a source of inspiration representing sacrifice, women empowerment and social transformation.

Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, grandson of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, was present as chief guest, while Mayor Ravi Landge presided over the event. Several public representatives, civic officials and citizens attended the programme.

Athawale also praised Dr. Ambedkar’s contribution in giving India its Constitution and creating a foundation of equality and self-respect for future generations.
