PCMC Action Against Illegal Constructions in Jagtap Dairy Area
Pimpri : The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation carried out a major demolition drive against encroachments and illegal constructions in the Jagtap Dairy to Wakad stretch under the D Ward office jurisdiction.
During the operation, civic teams removed encroachments spread across 6,945 sq. m. and demolished 33 illegal tin sheds. A total of 104 properties had been identified in the Wakad area, while structures protected by court stay orders were excluded from the action.
The drive was conducted under the orders of Commissioner Dr. Vijay Suryavanshi and under the guidance of Additional Commissioner Trupti Sandbhor. Around 150 civic staff, 104 police personnel, and 60 Maharashtra Security Force jawans were deployed. Authorities also used 16 JCB machines, while fire brigade and ambulance services remained on standby.
The civic body said the action aims to control unauthorized constructions and ensure safe, planned urban development in the city.
“Stopping illegal constructions is essential for the sustainable and proper development of Pimpri-Chinchwad. Laws will be strictly enforced, and citizens must follow regulations, otherwise strict action is unavoidable. The demolition drive in the D Ward area will continue tomorrow as well.”
