UBT Rebuilds Its Team in Pimpri-Chinchwad

• Assembly chiefs, coordinators and 14 deputy city chiefs appointed

PIMPRI : Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) has announced a series of organisational appointments in Pimpri-Chinchwad, giving a new structure to its city and assembly-level organisation.

The appointments were communicated through a release issued by the party’s central office. Anil Paraji Somvanshi has been appointed Bhosari Assembly constituency chief, while Tushar Antarao Navale has been appointed Pimpri Assembly constituency chief. Amol Tukaram Bhalekar has been appointed Bhosari Assembly constituency organiser, Siddhik Ismail Sheikh as Chinchwad Assembly constituency organiser and Shrimant Giri as Chinchwad Assembly constituency coordinator.

At the city level, Kailas Pandharinath Nevaskar has been appointed city coordinator and Raosaheb Chandrakant Thorat city spokesperson. The party has also appointed 14 deputy city chiefs for organisational work. They are Dilip Dnyandev Sawant, Dilip Ramchandra Dandwate, Nitin Gulabrao Gholap, Ganesh Vijay Aher, Parth Ramesh Gurav, Kiran Dnyaneshwar Dalvi, Pandurang Dinkar Patil, Laxman Vamanrao Tapkir, Vikas Annasaheb Ekshinge, Ganesh Shrimant Padule, Satish Jagdish Maral, Sumit Ramesh Nikamle, Raosaheb Manik Dongre and Nitin Bonde.

The announcement comes a day after Pimpri-Chinchwad city chief Chetan Pawar submitted a list of active and interested workers for the proposed new city executive to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut in Mumbai on Monday.

The party had conducted ward-wise interviews of aspirants from the Pimpri, Chinchwad and Bhosari Assembly constituencies in June. Organisational ability, participation in party activities, social work and involvement in party programmes were among the factors considered during the selection process, according to the party.

The latest appointments mark the first major step in the organisational restructuring process initiated under Pawar’s leadership. The new office-bearers are expected to take up responsibilities at the assembly and city levels as the party works to strengthen its organisational network in Pimpri-Chinchwad.

The announcement within a day of the list being submitted to the senior leadership has also brought clarity to several organisational positions in the city.
