Maharashtra SSC Result 2026 Declared; 92.09% Students Pass, Girls Outshine Boys

Mumbai/ Pune : Maharashtra School Education Minister Dadaji Bhuse congratulated students who successfully cleared the Class 10 (SSC) examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in February-March 2026.

The overall pass percentage in the state stood at 92.09 percent, with 14,20,486 students passing out of the 15,42,472 students who appeared for the examination.

Congratulating the successful students, Bhuse also praised teachers and parents for supporting students throughout their academic journey. He encouraged students who could not achieve expected results not to lose confidence and to make use of the supplementary examination opportunities provided by the government.

Girls Perform Better Than Boys

Among the students who appeared for the examination:

  • 89.56% boys passed
  • 94.96% girls passed

The pass percentage of girls was 5.40 percent higher than boys.

Konkan Division Tops State

The Konkan division recorded the highest result in the state with 97.62 percent, while the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar division recorded the lowest pass percentage at 88.41 percent.

  • Mumbai – 94.97%
  • Pune – 94.24%
  • Nashik – 90.53%
  • Amravati – 90.50%
  • Nagpur – 89.07%
  • Latur – 88.42%

Merit Distribution

Among the successful students:

  • 27.41% secured distinction
  • 31.26% secured first class
  • 24.66% secured second class
  • 8.75% passed in pass class

The board also announced that students wishing to improve their marks or grades will get three opportunities under the grade improvement scheme in upcoming SSC examinations.
