Yoga Day Celebrated with Great Enthusiasm
Nana Kate Social Foundation & Art of Living organise mass yoga camp with huge participation of citizens
Pimpri : International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Pimple Saudagar through a joint initiative by Nana Kate Social Foundation and Art of Living Pimple Saudagar.
Every year, a mass yoga session is organised at Kunjir Sports Ground, Pimple Saudagar, to promote the importance of yoga and healthy living. This year too, on June 21, 2026, a special yoga camp was conducted, where a large number of residents, youth, women, senior citizens, and students participated.
The main objective of the programme was to spread awareness about a healthy lifestyle, mental well-being, physical fitness, and positive values through yoga. Yoga, a valuable gift of Indian culture to the world, has now gained global recognition and has become a complete way of life beyond just a form of exercise.
Considering the increasing stress, changing lifestyles, and health challenges, the importance of regular yoga practice has become more significant. Through this initiative, Nana Kate Social Foundation, in association with Art of Living, has been connecting citizens with yoga every year.
While addressing the gathering, Nana Kate said, “Yoga is India’s great gift to the world. Every citizen should make yoga a part of their daily routine and contribute towards a healthier life.”
The event was attended by Art of Living representatives Datta Aalekar, Nisha Lulla, Uma Kulkarni, and Shashank Khandekar, along with social workers and citizens including Anil Kate, Umesh Kate, Kaluram Kavitke, Santosh Maskar, Santosh Mishra, Ravi Mundhe, Vinod Surve, Amarish Joshi, Sandesh Ghate, Jayesh Sarode, Deepak Kale, Satish Dongre, Chetan Patil, and Vilas Kaka Joshi.
Residents from various housing societies in the area also participated in large numbers, making the Yoga Day celebration a successful community initiative.
