PCMC Removes Five Illegal Structures in Chikhali, Talawade

Around 700 sq m of encroached land along drains cleared during anti-encroachment drive

PIMPRI-CHINCHWAD: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has taken action against unauthorised structures built over drains in Chikhali and Talawade. During an anti-encroachment drive conducted on Tuesday (October 27), the civic administration demolished five structures and cleared approximately 700 square metres of encroached area.

The drive was carried out by the anti-encroachment team of the civic body’s ‘F’ Ward Office in South Chikhali, falling under Ward No. 1, and Talawade, under Ward No. 12.

The action targeted unauthorised constructions over drains that can create problems for drainage and the surrounding areas. The structures were removed as part of the civic administration’s efforts to tackle illegal encroachments.

The operation was conducted on the orders of Additional Commissioner Trupti Sandbhor and under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner and Ward Officer Atul Patil.

The PCMC administration has stated that action against unauthorised constructions and encroachments across the city will continue in the coming days. The drive is part of the civic body’s efforts to remove illegal structures occupying public spaces and areas along drainage channels.
