Welfare Scheme Applications Open for 2026-27

– Mayor Ravi Landge launches application process; focus on reaching benefits to needy and disadvantaged citizens

Pimpri : The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has started accepting applications for various welfare schemes to be implemented by its Social Development Department for the financial year 2026-27.

Mayor Ravi Landge launched the application process and directed officials to ensure that eligible women, children, persons with disabilities, backward-class communities and other needy and disadvantaged citizens receive the benefits without unnecessary hurdles.

Officials have been instructed to keep the application process simple, transparent and citizen-friendly. Applications will be accepted online, with offline assistance available wherever necessary, particularly for senior citizens and persons facing difficulties with digital platforms.

Landge directed the department to ensure that eligible beneficiaries are not deprived of benefits due to documentation errors or technical difficulties and that applications are processed within the stipulated time.

Women and Child Welfare Committee chairperson Rani Pathare said special efforts would be made to create awareness about schemes for women and children and provide necessary guidance during the application process.

The civic administration has appealed to eligible citizens to submit applications within the prescribed period along with the required documents and avail themselves of the welfare schemes.
