Legendary Singer Asha Bhosle to be Cremated with Full State Honours
Pune : Legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle passed away at the age of 92 at a Mumbai hospital after battling a chest infection and exhaustion. Her last rites will be performed at Shivaji Park at 4 PM with full state honours. The public can pay their last respects at her residence in Lower Parel.
A recipient of the Padma Vibhushan and Maharashtra Bhushan, Asha Bhosle enjoyed an illustrious career spanning over eight decades. She worked with legendary composers such as O. P. Nayyar, R. D. Burman, S. D. Burman and A. R. Rahman, delivering numerous iconic songs.
Renowned for her versatility, she won a National Film Award for Umrao Jaan and remained a defining voice in Indian music for decades.
