Nashik BPO Case : 7 Staff Sacked, Probe Widens
Pune : In a major development in the Nashik BPO sexual harassment case, seven employees have been terminated following their arrest, while the HR manager remains under investigation for alleged inaction.
The case was exposed after a 40-day undercover operation by women police personnel, who worked inside the company to observe the accused. Authorities said the operation confirmed earlier complaints, leading to swift action.
Police have registered nine FIRs, including charges of sexual harassment, coercion, and exploitation. Over 40 CCTV clips are being examined as evidence. Most complainants are women aged 18–25.
Two senior staff members, including a team lead and a dialler manager, are among those terminated. The HR manager is currently in police custody for failing to act on complaints.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to probe the case further, including possible systemic lapses in workplace safety and internal complaint mechanisms.
