Questions Raised Over VSR Links, Calls for Probe Intensify in Maharashtra
Pune : Fresh questions have been raised by MLA Rohit Pawar, nephew of senior NCP leader Ajit Pawar, over alleged links between political leaders and a private aviation company, following claims related to a recent high-profile visit to the national capital.
According to sources, a senior leader from Maharashtra, who attended the wedding reception of journalist Rajat Sharma’s daughter in Delhi, reportedly returned via a VSR aircraft. It is alleged that upon arrival at a private charter terminal, the leader was received by VSR owner V. K. Singh, who also reportedly handed over certain documents to the leader’s aide.
Adding to the controversy, it is being claimed that the pilot operating the aircraft was the son of Kapoor, who was among those who lost their lives in the earlier aircraft crash linked to an incident involving Ajit Pawar.
These developments have triggered fresh concerns and speculation in political circles. Some voices are urging that the earlier aviation accident should not be treated lightly and have called for caution regarding associations with the said aviation company.
Further allegations suggest that VSR, which was earlier associated with aviation services for the Maharashtra government, may now be playing a broader role as an intermediary in major infrastructure projects in the state—similar to claims previously reported in Andhra Pradesh. However, these claims remain unverified.
Critics have questioned why authorities are awaiting the report of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) instead of initiating a more comprehensive probe. There are growing demands for a detailed investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to establish the facts.
As of now, no official confirmation has been issued regarding these allegations.
