Standing Committee Approves Key Development Works in Pimpri-Chinchwad
Pimpri : The Standing Committee of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation approved several development proposals related to healthcare, water supply, infrastructure, and civic facilities during its meeting held at the municipal headquarters in Pimpri on Monday. The meeting was chaired by Standing Committee Chairman Abhishek Barne.
The committee approved expenditure for electrical maintenance and repair works at the new Jijamata Hospital in Pimpri. Approval was also given for replacing damaged inverters and batteries in schools, buildings, and offices under the F Ward Office, and installing new inverters where required.
The committee also approved land acquisition for a proposed 12-metre road in Bhosari (Kasarwadi), maintenance and repair of transformers and breakers at the Ravet sewage pumping station, and installation of an alternative transformer and RMU unit in Sector 10. Several water supply and pumping infrastructure works, including installation of soft starters at pumping houses and strengthening water supply trenches in Ward No. 6, were also approved.
Additionally, approval was granted for temporary transit camp arrangements for slum rehabilitation in Chinchwad, civil repairs at various civic facilities, garden development works in Nigdi, construction of a boundary wall for the Kasarwadi sewage treatment plant, and maintenance of bus stops on the Sangvi-Kiwale road.
Barne said the committee has prioritised strengthening healthcare services, improving water supply systems, and completing pending road and infrastructure projects to ensure better civic services for citizens.
