PCMC Committed to Empower Persons with Disabilities : Ranimai Pathare
Pimpri : The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation is committed to making the lives of persons with disabilities easier, empowered, and self-reliant, said Ranimai Ashok Pathare during her visit to the Divyang Bhavan Foundation.
The Chairperson of the Women and Child Welfare Committee visited Divyang Bhavan as part of a goodwill visit and reviewed the functioning and ongoing activities of the foundation. Former corporator Shraddhatai Ravibhao Landge, committee members, CEO Paresh Gandhi, and other officials were present during the visit.
During the visit, Pathare inspected various healthcare services, treatment facilities, rehabilitation services, and training programmes available for persons with disabilities. She emphasized improving the quality and effectiveness of services and directed officials to expand facilities so that the benefits reach people at the grassroots level.
She also stated that the municipal corporation is working with social organisations to provide quality healthcare services and skill training for persons with disabilities. Officials were instructed to take necessary administrative steps to strengthen upcoming initiatives and expand services at Divyang Bhavan.
