Wakad Woman Alleges Stalking After Man ‘Photographs, Follows’ Her on Scooter

Pimpri : Wakad police have registered a case under Section 78 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) following a woman’s complaint that a man allegedly photographed her on his mobile phone and followed her on a scooter in the Wakad area.

The accused has been identified as S G Deshmukh.

According to the complaint, the incident occurred around 3.15 pm on September 12, 2026, when the woman was walking from the Datt Mandir Road area towards a medical store. She allegedly noticed Deshmukh standing near a cooperative bank.

The woman told police that Deshmukh allegedly clicked her photograph on his mobile phone. She then continued towards the medical store, but Deshmukh allegedly followed her on a white scooter and reached near the medical store.

The incident reportedly left the woman frightened. She called a relative and informed them about the alleged incident. The relative subsequently contacted Deshmukh over the phone and questioned him, following which he allegedly left the spot.

The woman later informed her husband and approached the Wakad Police Station. A complaint was lodged on September 13, following which police registered a case under Section 78 of the BNS.

Police are conducting further investigation into the complaint.
