Speeding Ertiga Hits Three Vehicles on Marunji Road

Aura car driver and biker injured in midnight accident near Rajmudra Petrol Pump

Pimpri-Chinchwad: A speeding Maruti Suzuki Ertiga allegedly rammed into three vehicles near Rajmudra Petrol Pump on Marunji Road in Mulshi taluka at around 12.56 am on Tuesday (October 27). The accident left the driver of an Aura car and a two-wheeler rider injured, while the vehicles involved sustained damage.

The Ertiga was being driven by Santosh Sunil Jaybhay (24), a driver and resident of Maval taluka in Pune district.

According to the complaint, Jaybhay was allegedly driving rashly and negligently when his Ertiga collided head-on with the driver’s side of a vehicle driven by Akshay Jadhav (28), which was coming from the opposite direction. Following the initial collision, the Ertiga hit an Aura car and a two-wheeler parked further ahead.

The two-wheeler rider, Nihal Mujawar (24), sustained injuries in the accident. The driver of the Aura car was also injured.

Akshay Ashok Jadhav lodged a complaint at Hinjawadi Police Station, following which a case was registered in connection with the incident. Assistant Police Inspector Sali is investigating the case.
