MahaRERA’s Dussehra Bonanza: 435 Housing Projects Approved

435 housing projects worth Rs. 23,719 crore get approval; Pune leads with 140 registrations

Pune : The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) issued registration numbers to 435 housing projects on Dussehra, covering 32,981 flats and representing an estimated investment of ₹23,719 crore.

Pune recorded the highest number of registrations among individual regions, with 140 projects receiving approval ahead of Diwali, a key period for housing launches.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) accounted for 201 registrations, including 70 projects in Thane, 63 in Mumbai City and its suburbs, 36 in Raigad, 25 in Palghar, five in Ratnagiri and two in Sindhudurg.

Vidarbha recorded 32 registrations, while Khandesh accounted for 24 projects and Marathwada eight. Three additional projects were registered in Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman.

Alongside new registrations, MahaRERA granted deadline extensions to 210 projects and approved correction requests for 609 existing projects.

Under regulatory requirements, developers must obtain approval for changes to registered projects and seek extensions if they cannot complete construction by the declared deadline.

MahaRERA said it continued processing applications during the festive period to facilitate eligible housing launches, subject to prescribed legal, technical and financial requirements. The measures aim to strengthen regulatory compliance and protect homebuyers’ interests.
