Pune District Declares Diwali Holiday on November 9 Instead of November 6

Pune : The Pune Divisional Commissioner, Shital Teli-Ugale, has issued a revised order changing the local holiday declared for government and semi-government offices in Pune district on the occasion of Diwali.

As per the revised order, Monday, November 9, 2026, will be observed as a local holiday in place of Friday, November 6, which was earlier declared a holiday for Dhantrayodashi.

The revised order has been issued by the Divisional Commissioner under the powers conferred by the notification dated March 14, 1983, issued by the relevant department and the General Administration Department.

The change applies to government and semi-government offices across Pune district.
