Ravi Landge Pushes Key Development Issues at Disha Committee Meet

– Seeks Alandi Metro station, action on Indrayani pollution and early resolution of Pavana pipeline issues

Pimpri : Pimpri-Chinchwad Mayor Ravi Landge raised several key issues concerning the city’s development at a Disha Committee meeting chaired by Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation and committee chairman Murlidhar Mohol in Pune.

Landge demanded that Alandi be included as a station on the proposed Chakan–Nigdi Metro corridor. The proposed 45.29-km route will connect Bhakti-Shakti, Mukai Chowk, Wakad, Nashik Phata, Vallabhnagar and Chakan, with 34 proposed stations.

He also raised concerns over pollution of the Indrayani River, seeking a time-bound action plan involving municipal corporations, local bodies and government agencies to control pollution.

Landge further sought a joint meeting to resolve pending issues related to the Pavana closed water pipeline project, which is crucial for Pimpri-Chinchwad’s water supply.

The meeting also reviewed various Central government-sponsored schemes, including PMAY, AMRUT 2.0, PM SVANidhi, National Health Mission and the Clean Air Programme. Mohol responded positively and directed officials to take necessary action on the issues raised.
