The action was carried out on September 5, 2026, following directions issued by senior police officials to take strict action against organisers and DJ operators breaching noise pollution norms.

Police teams from various stations seized DJ speakers, amplifiers, mixers and other sound equipment after finding them being operated beyond the permissible noise levels. Legal action was also initiated against the concerned organisers and DJ operators.

The action covered several police station limits, including Nigdi (4), Pimpri (1), Sant Tukaramnagar (1), Dapodi (1), Hinjewadi (1), Bavdhan (3), Wakad (1), Kalewadi (1), Bhosari (1), Dighi (1) and Chakan South (1).

Police said the drive was aimed at maintaining public peace, law and order and protecting citizens from excessive noise pollution.

Authorities have appealed to organisers and citizens to use loudspeakers and sound systems responsibly and within the prescribed limits. Police also warned that strict action will continue against violations of noise pollution regulations.
