Bike Rider Dies After Hyva Hits Two-Wheeler in Talwade

Pimpri-Chinchwad : A 27-year-old man died after a speeding Hyva tempo allegedly rammed into the motorcycle he was travelling on in the Talwade area on Thursday evening.

The accident took place around 5 pm on September 24 near Sume Mala, in front of the Vadumukhwadi Shell petrol pump. According to the police complaint filed by Dheeraj Yuvraj Chikte (27), he was travelling home from work with his friend Vishal Chougule when a Hyva tempo approaching from behind allegedly hit their motorcycle. The tempo was allegedly being driven at high speed and in a negligent manner.

Both riders sustained serious injuries in the accident. Chougule suffered injuries to his right hand, leg and head. He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment. The motorcycle was also damaged in the collision. Police have registered a case against Hyva driver Kamlesh Narayan Ekade (26), a resident of Mohannagar, Godown Chowk, Bhosari. Further investigation is underway.
