  • MLA Shankar Jagtap inaugurates new facility, highlights growing importance of electric mobility

Pimpri : The new NIA EV Excellence Centre of NIA EV Motors was inaugurated at Punawale in Pimpri-Chinchwad by Chinchwad MLA Shankar Jagtap.

Speaking at the inauguration, Jagtap congratulated NIA EV Motors Managing Director Alok Sheth and wished the company success in its future journey. He said the future of mobility is electric and Indian companies such as NIA EV Motors will play an important role in shaping the country’s electric mobility ecosystem.

“NIA EV Motors was established in 2024 under the inspiration and guidance of Arun Sheth and under the leadership of his son and Director Alok Sheth. The company is working towards developing modern, reliable and environment-friendly electric vehicles by keeping Indian roads, customer requirements and changing technology in mind,” Jagtap said.

He added that the growing dependence on petrol and diesel and increasing pollution have made the adoption of electric vehicles not just an environmental necessity but also an important direction for the future of transportation.

“Electric mobility will play a crucial role in reducing fuel expenses and pollution while promoting the use of modern technology. With LFP batteries, IoT connectivity and advanced safety technologies, NIA’s vehicles are becoming safer, smarter and more reliable,” Jagtap said.

He further said the expansion of electric mobility would create opportunities beyond vehicle sales, including in battery technology, charging infrastructure, vehicle servicing, software and skilled employment.

“Maharashtra’s strong automobile ecosystem combined with emerging EV technologies presents a major opportunity. NIA EV Motors is expanding its dealer network across Maharashtra and India and is emerging as a strong Indian EV brand,” he said.

Jagtap expressed confidence that the vision of Arun Sheth and the leadership of Alok Sheth would help NIA EV Motors play a significant role in India’s electric future.
