PIMPRI : The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has earned national recognition for its innovative financial approach after receiving two prestigious awards from the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) for its performance in the municipal bond market.

Standing Committee Chairman Abhishek Barne said the achievement marks an important milestone in PCMC’s journey towards financial self-reliance.

“Raising ₹400 crore through municipal bonds has created a new and bold avenue for directly mobilising funds from the capital market. The two national awards are recognition of our financial planning, transparency and forward-looking approach,” Barne said.

The national recognition is being viewed as another milestone in PCMC’s efforts to give fresh momentum to the city’s development.
