Money Dispute Leads to Murder in Thergaon; Man Arrested

Pimpri-Chinchwad: A man was allegedly stabbed to death following a dispute over a financial transaction in Madhuban Colony, Thergaon, on Monday morning.

The incident took place around 7:45 am. Police have arrested Yallaling alias Yallappa Shivsharanappa Alandkar, a resident of Thergaon, in connection with the case. According to police, Alandkar, who was known to the victim’s family, had visited their house. An argument reportedly broke out between the accused and the victim over a money transaction.

During the dispute, Alandkar allegedly attacked Kashinath Sambhaji Vawale with a sharp-edged knife, stabbing him four to five times. Vawale sustained serious injuries in the attack and died. The victim’s wife later lodged a complaint at the Kalewadi Police Station, following which police arrested the accused. Further investigation is being carried out by the Kalewadi police.
