Fogging Drive Conducted in Rahatani Gaothan to Curb Mosquito Menace

• Civic administration carries out anti-mosquito measures across residential societies amid monsoon

PIMPRI : A fogging drive was carried out across Rahatani Gaothan and adjoining residential societies with the support of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) administration to prevent the rise in mosquito breeding following the monsoon and increased water levels in the river. The initiative was undertaken to safeguard the health of residents and prevent the spread of mosquito-borne diseases.

Fogging was carried out in several key locations, including the Ram Temple area, Mahadev Temple area, Bhairavnath Temple area, Ganganagar and Pavnagar, as well as various residential societies such as Laxmi Bhakti Society, Siddhivinayak Society, Shivdham Society, Swapnasankul Society, K.K. Priston, Royal Heights and Legacy Society.

The initiative aims to curb mosquito breeding during the monsoon and reduce the risk of diseases such as dengue and malaria. Necessary preventive measures will continue to be undertaken regularly to protect public health and ensure the safety of residents.

Speaking about the initiative, Babasaheb Dnyanoba Tribhuvan, Corporator and Member of the Standing Committee, PCMC, said that residents’ health and safety would remain a priority. He added that such preventive measures would continue to be implemented effectively in coordination with the municipal administration.

“Preventing mosquito breeding and reducing the risk of mosquito-borne diseases during the monsoon is our responsibility. With the health and safety of citizens as our priority, such preventive measures will continue to be undertaken in coordination with the municipal administration,” Tribhuvan said.
