Three Years On, Selected MIDC Candidates Still Await Appointment Orders
- MIDC Direct Recruitment 2023: Assistant Draftsman candidates waiting for appointments
Mumbai / Pune : Candidates selected for the post of Assistant Draftsman under the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation’s (MIDC) Direct Recruitment 2023 are still awaiting appointment orders, despite nearly three years having passed since the recruitment process began.
The recruitment advertisement was issued on August 13, 2023. The examination was conducted on August 10, 2025, followed by the publication of the merit list on October 8, 2025. The final selection list was released on February 10, 2026, while document verification was completed on May 6, 2026. However, selected candidates are yet to receive their appointment orders.
NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) leader Sunil Gavhane criticised the delay and questioned the functioning of the government and the Industries Department.
“Candidates appeared for the examination, secured positions in the merit list, were selected and even completed document verification. Why is there still such a long delay in issuing appointment orders? Are government officials and political leaders waiting for a percentage?” Gavhane questioned.
He alleged that while the BJP-led government and the Industries Minister frequently make announcements about employment generation, selected candidates continue to wait for jobs despite completing the recruitment process.
Gavhane demanded that appointment orders be issued immediately and that the government explain the reason for the delay.
He warned that if the issue is not resolved promptly, the NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) will intensify its agitation on behalf of the selected candidates.
