Sandeep Waghere Alleges Misuse of His Name in PCMC Standing Committee Resolution

Pimpri : Ncp Corporator Sandeep Waghere has submitted a memorandum to the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner and the Standing Committee Chairman, raising serious objections over the alleged misuse of his name in Standing Committee Resolution No. 366, Subject No. 7.

According to the memorandum, during the Standing Committee meeting held on April 22, 2026, Waghere’s name was mentioned as the “proposer” and Vikas Sane’s name as the “seconder” in a proposal submitted through the Municipal Secretary’s office under Education Committee Resolution No. 7 dated April 2, 2026.

However, Waghere claimed that he had neither consented to nor proposed the resolution. He alleged that the Municipal Secretary’s office misled the committee by wrongly recording his name in the proposal and demanded that the entry be immediately cancelled.

The memorandum also pointed out a significant rate difference involving Yantarmag and Jagdamba institutions, despite both being government-recognised entities. Waghere alleged that the higher rates of the Jagdamba institution were causing a major financial burden on the municipal treasury on a per-student, per-year basis.

He demanded:

  • Immediate cancellation of Standing Committee Resolution No. 366, Subject No. 7
  • Removal of his name from the proposal records
  • Administrative action against the Municipal Secretary and concerned employees for allegedly misleading the committee

Waghere urged the administration to take serious note of the matter and take immediate corrective action.
