Pune RTO Invites Applications for Fancy Vehicle Registration Numbers

Pune : The Regional Transport Office (RTO), Pune, has announced the launch of a new registration series for four-wheelers and invited advance applications from vehicle owners seeking attractive or preferred registration numbers.

Interested applicants can submit applications on May 11, 2026, between 10.30 am and 2.30 pm along with a demand draft in the name of “R.T.O., Pune,” address proof, and attested copies of identity documents.

If multiple applications are received for the same number, a list of applicants will be displayed on the notice board. Such applicants must submit sealed bids with enhanced amounts by 2.30 pm on May 12. The auction process will be held the same day at 4 pm at Sahakar Hall, Pune RTO.

The preferred registration number will be allotted to the highest bidder as per the Maharashtra government’s prescribed fee structure.
