Rakshak Chowk Flyover Nears Completion; Aundh to Kiwale Route to Become Signal-Free

Pimpri : The flyover under construction at Rakshak Chowk in Pimple Nilakh has reached its final stage and is expected to make travel from Aundh to Sangvi Phata and further from Ravet to Kiwale signal-free and congestion-free soon, said PCMC Standing Committee Chairman Abhishek Barne.

The project was recently reviewed under the guidance of Chinchwad MLA Shankar Jagtap, who held a meeting with civic officials at the public relations office in Pimple Gurav to assess progress and future planning.

Officials discussed traffic management plans linked to the BRT corridor and stressed passenger safety. Instructions were also issued to conduct an immediate safety audit of the flyover railings and the entire structure.

Barne said the project would significantly reduce travel time and fuel consumption while improving traffic flow on the Sangvi-Kiwale BRT route. He added that the administration is focused on completing the work on time with high-quality standards and ensuring commuter safety.
